The American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for HEALTHCARE PROVIDER certification class reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing basic steps CPR, relieving choking, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.
The AHA's Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification class has been updated to reflect new science in the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care . This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediatepost-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.
The AHA's PALS Course is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
I am a repeat customer of Prism CPR because of
the quality and integrity of the instruction I receive. The instructors
are highly skilled in teaching, not just method. They incorporate
techniques that make the class both interesting and informative. They
are truly concerned that all students finish the class with the
knowledge and skills needed to save lives - not just receive a card. I
have taken CPR classes for over 20 years and I can honestly say that
this is the best CPR class that I have had the pleasure of attending.
Carla Wright, MSNed, RN, CNE/Program Director, Nursing Assistant Program College of Southern Nevada
This was one of the best
CPR classes that I have taken. The instructor recognized that much of
the information was a review for us and did his best to present the
material in an efficient and entertaining way without compromising
quality or rigor. The models were clean and well maintained. Excellent
combination of lecture, video, and hands-on practice.
